Outdoor Classroom Ideas - Tunnels

We like to think about tunnels as meeting spaces for children from one end of a path to another. From wriggling through hollowed out logs to the exhilarating rush of crossing through an overarching rain shower water feature, children are endlessly drawn to the thrill of tunnels and what may meet them on the other side. 

We’ve trained willow trees to turn into a live nature tunnel extending over a bike path, and that's just one example of how we like to think creatively and build unique features for each site.
