Mary Tepera Jones outdoor classroom designer

Mary Tepera Jones, Architect

Mary’s work with Tod Williams and Billie Tsien Architects in New York City, KRDB in Austin, Robertson Design in Houston, and landscape construction company, JONESPLAN LLC molded her architectural sensibilities - creating an appreciation for modern high design, modular building components, the design-build method and beautiful landscapes. After discovering architectural joy designing 19 outdoor classrooms in the last three years for Tulsa Educare, Mary founded Good Fieldwork, a design-build firm focused on world class outdoor classrooms and their modular components.

Mary received a Bachelor of Architecture degree with High Honors in 2003 from the University of Texas at Austin. She is on the Building Executive Committee for Animas High School, overseeing the design and construction of her daughter’s new campus in Durango, Colorado.

She loves all things outside - backpacking, soccer, biking, floating the river, searching for firewood, and sitting around a camp fire.
