Outdoor Classroom Ideas - Reading Nook

Reading nooks in an outdoor classroom provide a cozy and comfortable space for children to curl up with a good book, and they can serve as a calming and relaxing space for children and provide a break from overstimulation. The reading nook example with the enclosed area shown below helps children safely isolate when they need or want to, but the space between the natural fencing still allows teachers to see them. We know the importance of line of sight between teachers and students and factor that into our outdoor classroom design.
